What makes Infinite Performance different?
We are qualified in strength & conditioning with over 15 years of experience working in the field (and that's just between our 2 head coaches).
From coaching established professional athletes, to the up-and-coming child superstar, we understand training and the entire spectrum of performance. We are able to tailor our coaching to your child’s individual development stages and ever-changing levels of movement competency.
Whilst our competitors are blindly throwing together funny-looking exercises they’ve seen on Instagram and hoping for outcomes, we are constantly evaluating your child’s training to ensure they are seeing real progress (sprinkling in a bit of fun on the side!)
After all, each child’s physical and psychological development should be seen as its own unique journey. No single youth athlete or child coming into our gym will have exactly the same needs, so it’s about time we give them the attention they deserve.
parent testimonials
“My 13 yr old daughter has been training with Infinite Performance for at least two years now. Her training is tailored to her needs and she receives personal coaching to optimise her potential. The strength and conditioning she gets highly compliments her jiu jitsu skills, enabling her to compete against heavier and older opponents. My wife and I are impressed with our daughter's results. Others noticing our daughter's strength share the same impression.
Above all, our daughter enjoys the friendly and supportive atmosphere of the gym. Both coaches, Joe and Clay, are surely making a difference to young athletes.
PS: Our daughter is now a 4-time BJJ kids world champion and has multiple Australian BJJ gold medals, including nationals, states, and Pan Pacific championships.”
- Marcelino (father)
“We have three sons age 12, 14 and 16 that have all trained with Infinite Performance since January 2020.
The coaches have been able to teach our sons the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, keep them motivated towards their individual fitness goals, and have created a bond of friendship and camaraderie.
However, as well as the fitness benefits described above, our sons have all been able to witness Clay and Joe build a very successful business. They have become very important role models and positive influences in their lives.
Infinite Performance played a crucial role in our sons teenage years and has been one of the best things we could have done for our teenagers as their parents.”
- Steph (mother)
“My son has been training at Infinite Performance for over a year now. He has been working his strength and conditioning and he has improved his tennis game a lot. Infinite Performance has a great structure using programming apps to track the training and all the trainers are always attentive and helpful.”

— "is my child too young to start Training in the gym?”
A common question that we hear from many concerned parents…
here’s the truth…
Research shows that weight training does not stunt a child's growth, contrary to popular belief. Growth occurs primarily in the growth plates, located at the ends of long bones, which close as children mature. Properly supervised weight training with age-appropriate exercises poses no risk to these growth plates.
In fact, when done correctly, strength and conditioning training can promote improvements in bone density, joint stability, muscle development and cardiovascular health. The key is ensuring that your child follows a well-structured program focused on technique and safety, preventing injury and fostering healthy physical development.
Ultimately, a child can take up structured strength training when they are mature enough to understand and follow instructions. Other than that simple point, it mostly comes down to “the sooner, the better” when thinking about resistance training for our youth.

1. Improved Athletic Performance
Studies have shown that training programs focusing on strength, power, speed, agility, and endurance can lead to notable improvements in various sports-specific skills and abilities. Properly structured training, tailored to the developmental stage of the child, can contribute to enhanced motor skills, coordination, balance, and overall physical capacity.
2. Injury Prevention
Implementing appropriate strength and conditioning exercises, along with flexibility and mobility training, helps young athletes develop resilience and reduce the risk of injuries. Research indicates that well-rounded training programs that address muscle imbalances and promote proper movement patterns can significantly decrease the likelihood of common sports-related injuries among youth.
3. Psychological Benefits
Regular physical activity has been shown to improve cognitive function, attention span, and academic performance. Additionally, participating in performance training fosters important psychological attributes such as self-confidence, goal setting, perseverance, and resilience. These qualities extend far beyond the gym and positively impact numerous aspects of a child's life.
4. Setting The Foundations For A Healthy Adult Life
General physical activity for children and adolescents has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of obesity, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic syndrome in later stages of life. This occurs primarily from long-term habitual behaviour changes, as well as an improved energy turnover rate and more effective metabolic system.
